Several Formula 3 (F3) champions will be in the territory next month as the provisional entry list for the 2011 Macau Grand Prix was released yesterday. The 58th edition of the event will be held from November 17 to 20.
British F3 champion Felipe Nasr will be joined by 2007 winner Marko Asmer, 2009 German F3 champion Laurens Vanthoor and new winner Richie Stanaway. The 30-car entry for the main race will include Roberto Merhi, the F3 Euro Series champion, and Valtteri Bottas, the GP3 Series winner.
The Macau Grand Prix will this year once again play a part in crowning an F3 world champion.
The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) has created the F3 International Trophy, which will string together six events from existing racing series. The local event is the fifth in the schedule, right before the season finale in South Korea.
Currently, the Formula 3 car racing has several different series worldwide, from Finland to Japan.
