‘Bathing season’ opens

444444The “bathing season” for the public swimming pools is set to start this coming Sunday, with all pools now under Sports Bureau (ID) management.
Dr Sun Yat Sen, Taipa Central Park, Hac Sa Park and Cheoc Van pools will all be operating this summer season from May 1 to October 31 each week from Monday afternoon (1 p.m.) to Sunday evening (8 p.m. for Dr Sun Yat Sen Pool and 9 p.m. to all the others).
From Tuesday to Sunday the opening time is 7 a.m. for the Dr Sun Yat Sen and Taipa Central Park pools and 8 a.m. for both Hac Sa Park and Cheoc Van pools.
The tickets continue to cost MOP15 per adult with discounts applicable for both children and senior citizens (aged over 65).
The Dr Sun Yat Sen, Hac Sa Park and Cheoc Van pools will also sell monthly passes with prices ranging from MOP180 to MOP260 for adults.
This will be the first year that all the public swimming facilities will be operating under the ID after the administrative revamp. Previously, public pools were under Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau management.
