Briefs | UM professor to head Journal of Asia TEFL

Antony John Kunnan, a professor from the Department of English and associate dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the University of Macau (UM), has been appointed editor-in-chief of the Journal of Asia TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language). Professor Kunnan will serve in the position from January 2017 to October 2019.  According to the UM, the Journal of Asia TEFL is an open-access online journal. Its previous editors-in-chief include Bernard Spolsky from Tel Aviv University in Israel and Andy Kirkpatrick from Griffith University in Australia.

First Macau Museum children’s exhibition

The first exhibition themed around children’s experience to open at the Macau Museum will be inaugurated on Friday. The “Story of Cannon-Making – Children Experience Exhibition” showcases several games and, according to the organizers, “aims to inspire and encourage children to learn about the history of Macau, and shape the museum as another important learning place for children.” The exhibition will be open to the public from March 25 to August 20, on the 3rd floor of the Macau Museum.
