CE highlights diversification in his CNY message

The government will continue its ongoing efforts at economic diversification in the coming Year of the Monkey. In his Lunar New Year Message, Chief Executive Chui Sai On said that Macau will accomplish greater social achievements with the collective wisdom of the region’s residents.
Looking towards the upcoming Chinese New Year, the Chief Executive added that the government would step up its efforts to maintain a robust financial environment, and would weather internal and external challenges by working closely with the public.
According to a statement, Chui said that the government will continue to prioritize projects that help to enhance the lives and welfare of the people in order to ensure Macau is a more habitable city.
In his message delivered yesterday, Chui urged the public to share the joy and warmth of this festive season with their families and people in need. He also extended his gratitude to all workers – in the private and public sectors – who are involved in keeping services operating during the holidays.
