Corporate bits | ‘The Fresh Cook’ films episode at the Parisian Macau

Chinese television show “The Fresh Cook” was recently filmed an episode on location at The Parisian Macao. The show was hosted by multiple award-winning international chefs, Jereme Leung and Steven Liu, and singer and actor, Lin Yi Lun. The episode also included Chinese celebrity contestants Yuan Hua, Peng Yu and Shao Bing. The episode was shot around various locations such as by The Parisian Macao’s swimming pool and the “Love Lock Bridge” on the half-scale Eiffel Tower observation deck. The episode was broadcasted nationally on Jiangsu Satellite TV at 10pm last night.

According to a press release from The Parisian, “The Fresh Cook” is produced by Shanghai Fei Yue Culture and Communications Company Limited, and was the country’s first celebrity culinary reality show. The show is currently the leading cooking program, and has been considered the most popular show on national television since the day it first aired. It has since won the Asian Adaption Award, and has been nominated for an International Emmy Award in the category of “Non-script Variety Show.”

Originally named “Celebrity Master Chef,” this is the third year that the show has used a Sands Resorts property as its backdrop. According to the press release, Sands Resorts Macao is a popular location choice for film and television shoots, with productions including actor Chow Yun-Fat’s “From Vegas to Macau,” actress Zhang Ziyi’s “My Lucky Star” and the Hollywood sequel “Now You See Me 2” all shot at The Venetian Macao. South Korean reality TV shows including “We Got Married: Global Edition,” the “Dancing 9” television series, “Boys Over Flowers,” “Fated to Love you,” and Taiwanese series, “Summer’s Desire” were also filmed at the integrated resort.
