Corporate bits | Sands China holds roadshows for SMEs

Two of Sands China’s Macau based small- and medium-sized suppliers held roadshows at the back-of-house areas of Sands Macao, The Venetian Macao, Sands Cotai Central and The Parisian Macao.

The roadshows were part of Sands China’s Local Small, Medium and Micro Suppliers Support Programme, a corporate initiative to support small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and procurement in Macau.

Between April 24 and May 5, food and beverage suppliers Chip Seng and Wing Fung displayed a total of 100 products for Sands China’s 30,000 team members, and offered them at a discounted price.

The team members collectively purchased more than MOP1.1 million worth of goods from both SMEs during the roadshows.

Sands China said in a press release that it will hold additional promotions and offer similar opportunities to support the growth of local businesses. These include SMEs, micro-enterprises, young entrepreneurs and “Made-in-Macao” enterprises.
