some 30 Sands China Care Ambassadors spent a day with the Macau Special Olympics (MSO) athletes and their families Sunday as part of the Macau Youth Volunteer Association’s “One Day Volunteer” 2016 programme.
Around 40 MSO athletes and family members joined the Care Ambassadors at Po’s Kung Fu Feast Character Breakfast with the DreamWorks All-Stars at Sands Cotai Central Sunday morning, where they interacted with DreamWorks characters while enjoying a buffet breakfast together.
Sunday’s activities marked the company’s eighth year of participation in the annual programme. Sands China Care Ambassadors have been taking part in “One Day Volunteer” since 2009, serving the elderly, the physically and intellectually disabled, and those with hearing impairments by accompanying them on activities.
“The One Day Volunteer” event was initiated in 2000, and aims to encourage the general public to utilize every opportunity presented to them to serve others in need.
