image002Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao has been voted the Best Resort in China 2014 (Non-Beach) in the Eighth Annual TTG China Travel Awards 2015. The awards ceremony was held in Shanghai in April. The latest accolade for Sands Resorts Cotai Strip Macao is a reflection of the hotel group’s performance throughout 2014.
“Receiving this award is a great honor for Sands China Ltd as it acknowledges our continued efforts to deliver the best possible entertainment, leisure, dining and accommodation experience for our guests.” said Mark McWhinnie, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations and Development.

01mgm china receives “outstanding social caring organization award”

MGM China Holdings Limited was recently awarded the “Outstanding Social Caring Organization Award” from the Social Enterprise Research Institute (SERI) Hong Kong.
The award aims to recognize the outstanding performance of corporates in ensuring wellness in the workplace, supporting environmental protection, and giving back to the community. The panel of judges include: Professor Ei-ichi Negishi and Professor Ada E. Yonath, Nobel laureates in Chemistry in 2010 and 2009 respectively and Professor Harald zur Hausen, Nobel laureate in Physiology or Medicine 2008. On April 15, Professor zur Hausen attended as honorary guest at the award ceremony.
Mr. Grant R. Bowie, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said: “We are honored to receive this award. To support the long-term development of the University of Macau (“UM”) and to promote talent cultivation, LCW Management Limited donated MOP30 million to the University of Macau Development Foundation in 2010. In recognition, UM has named a residential college on the campus as Lui Che Woo College and recently held an appreciation plaque unveiling ceremony at the University of Macau.
The “Appreciation Plaque Unveiling Ceremony of Lui Che Woo College, University of Macau” was held on Wednesday at the Hall of Lui Che Woo College and was officiated by Dr. Lui Che Woo, Chairman of Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG”) and Mrs. Lui Che Woo; Dr. Lam Kam Seng, Chair of UM’s University Council; and Prof. Wei Zhao, UM’s Rector.
