Giant pandas to ‘bring happiness’ to town

£®∞ƒ√≈ªÿπÈ15÷‹ƒÍ?ÕºŒƒª•∂Ø£©£®1£©÷–—ÎΩ´œÚ∞ƒ√≈Ãÿ«¯‘˘ÀÕ“ª∂‘¥Û–‹√®The Chinese central government will offer Macau a pair of giant pandas, president Xi Jinping said here on Friday. “I hope they will grow up healthily and bring happiness to Macau’s people,” Xi told Chief Executive Chui Sai On. He said the central government made the decision at Chui’s request.
Five years ago the central government gifted Macau a pair of pandas for the 10th anniversary of the SAR. Kai Kai, the male panda, and Xin Xin, female, were born in Sichuan Province, southwest China, on Dec. 18, 2010. Xin Xin died suddenly due to acute renal failure and related ailments on June 22 this year.
