Macau helps train gaming sector staff from Mozambique

Macau Gambling RevenueMembers of staff of the National Gaming Commission of the Mozambican Tourism Ministry until 19 July are attending a course on gaming regulation and inspection in Macau offered by the territory’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (GICB).
The Mozambican delegation is headed up by Arlindo Langa, the president of the National Gaming Commission of the Tourism Ministry. The Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macau is also working on this course to train human resources from Portuguese-speaking countries that is part of the Forum’s Plan of Action for the next four years.
A statement from the Permanent Secretariat said that the “training course follows through on the plan for cooperation and development of the areas of education and human resources of Forum Macau, boosting the role of Macau as a services platform between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries.”
At the beginning of the month the assistant secretary-general of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries, Vicente Jesus Manuel said that the visit by the mission from Mozambique was a way of learning from Macau’s experience and to allow for greater development of gaming and gambling in Mozambique.
