Public transport lane might be extended

Three sections of the lane will become permanent next month, permitting only public transport and emergency vehicles to drive in the lane between 7:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. and between 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. every day. The policy becomes permanent after it has been trialed for about two months. Officials of the Transport Bureau have said that knowledge and awareness of the public transport-only lane is growing among drivers and other road users.
