The Buzz: Wild rhino enters Nepal city, killing 1 and injuring several

A wild rhino has entered a city in southern Nepal, killing a woman and injuring several other people. Government administrator Ram Prasad Thapaliya says the rhino entered Hetauda yesterday, terrorizing residents. Teams with tranquilizer guns and elephants were on the way to the city to help out.
Thapaliya says the rhino killed a 61-year-old woman on the outskirts of Hetauda, a city of about 135,000 people that borders forested area. An unknown number of people were injured inside the city. Thapaliya says attempts to chase the animal out of the city by blasting vehicle horns and beating drums were unsuccessful, with the animal running from one area to another. Hetauda is about 80 kilometers south of Kathmandu, Nepal’s capital.
