The Venetian Opens indoor ice sculpture exhibition

The Venetian Macao launched its annual indoor Ice World on Thursday for visitors to experience a frozen -8 degree wonderland this spring and summer.

The launch ceremony of the Kung Fu Panda Adventure Ice World with the DreamWorks All-Stars saw children performing Kung Fu under the cartoon Kung Fu Panda at The Venetian’s Cotai Expo.

The fifth edition of Ice World is organized by Sands Resorts Macao in collaboration with Heilongjiang Provincial Ice Fun World Culture Communication Co. Ltd., and supported by the Macau Government Tourism Office.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dave Horton, global chief marketing officer of Las Vegas Sands Corp and Sands China Ltd, said: “We work hard to bring our visitors of all ages a wide variety of exciting and diverse entertainment options at Sands Resorts Macau.”

He said Ice World is one of the region’s biggest family-
oriented events.

Some 6,000 multi-colored ice blocks were used to create the sculptures, which include characters from Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, Shrek, The Croods, How To Train Your Dragon and Trolls.

It took 40 craftsmen from Harbin 300 hours to complete the sculptures, which will be displayed across seven zones.

Guests can also attend other DreamWorks Experience activities, including “Po’s Kung Fu Feast – Character Breakfast with the DreamWorks All-
Stars” and the “DreamWorks Experience All-Star Parade.” The parade will be held on Level 2 of the Shoppes at Cotai Central every day at 4 p.m.

The Kung Fu Panda Adventure Ice World with the DreamWorks All-Stars will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. The event ends on July 9. LV
