‘Nothing dramatic’ expected in mid-term review

The mid-term gaming review will be made public today at a press conference scheduled for the afternoon. The report in its Chinese version is over 200 pages in length and will outline the achievements of the city’s six gaming concessionaires, their involvement in the community and the extent of their non-gaming offerings. It will also examine the welfare of employees and the promotion opportunities that have been offered to them.
Gaming analyst Ben Lee told the Times that he is not expecting any drastic measures to be announced in the review.
“I am expecting nothing dramatic in terms of a report on the performance of the concessions. I do however, expect that there will be a significant focus on local employment in the report,” he said.
