Code of Internal Integrity to help correct employees’ personal integrity

The “Code of Internal Integrity” set up by the Economic Services is aimed at helping its employees keep a “correct standard of personal integrity.”
In response to a written interpellation by local lawmaker Jose Pereira Coutinho, deputy director of the Economic Services Sou Tim Peng said that the code was based on “Behavioural Guide for Employees of the Public Administration.”
According to a statement, the Economic Services sought “professional opinions” from the Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) before introducing the code.
The code is also set to guide employees in situations where fraudulent acts may occur, according to the statement.
