The 5th “Summer in Portuguese” course will begin tomorrow at the Macau Polytechnic Institute (IPM). The teacher-training course for those teaching Portuguese in mainland China has been organized by the Portuguese Language Teaching and Research Centre at IPM since 2014. This year, 24 teachers from 17 different universities in mainland China, almost all of whom are Chinese, will attend the course. The course will run until July 20 and has a total duration of 75 hours (45 hours of training in class and 30 hours of participants’ individual work). The novelty of this year’s course is that it is certified by Camões – Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua, following a recently signed protocol with IPM.
