55 people approved for assistive devices funding

The Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) has stated that 55 people have been granted funding since the implementation of the program aiming to support the purchase of assistive devices for the disabled. Hearing-impaired accounted for approximately 60% of the grants. More than 80 assistive devices were subsidized, mainly hearing aids and electric wheelchairs. According to the bureau, they will consider future development of the program based on the needs of locals.
