Portuguese Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, Paulo Rangel, will visit Macau this month, marking the first visit by a senior Portuguese official since the pandemic. Rangel will attend the Boao Forum in China and meet with Chinese officials, including his counterpart, Wang Yi, according to TDM. In Macau, he will meet Chief Executive Sam Hou Fai, engage with the Portuguese community, and hold discussions with Consul General Alexandre Leitão. This will be the first meeting between Rangel and the new Chief Executive. Rangel is also expected to return later this year for Portugal’s Camões Day celebrations.
