BNU campus workshops held at local universities
BNU Campus Workshops for Youth Entrepreneurship were held at the Institute for Tourism Studies’ (IFT) Taipa campus on November 1 and at the Macau University of Science and Technology on November 7. Organized by The Industry and Commerce Association of Macau, the workshops were held to share knowledge and experiences of starting a business.
Workshop discussions covered the preparations for entrepreneurship and experience sharing of e-commerce, heat supply and catering, bringing out the message that entrepreneurship should be based on solid industrial knowledge rather than following the trend blindly.
“[The] banking industry provides a different kind of support for local SMEs, such as financing for purchasing equipment, overdraft for working capital and property financing. Also, basic accounting skills will benefit entrepreneurs [in their] business operations,” Sou, deputy head of Corporate Banking Division of BNU, said during the workshops.
From October to November, BNU campus workshops for Youth Entrepreneurship will carry out 14 visits to secondary schools and universities, including University of Macau, Macao Polytechnic Institute and Kiang Wu Nursing College of Macau.
