The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) is organizing a “Music Sharing Session” tomorrow to present the work begun in jazz workshops launched in this year’s Macau International Music Festival (MIMF). MIMF’s Outreach Program comprises a total of 26 additional activities, including talks, workshops, master classes, and sharing sessions, as well as backstage tours. Some of the workshops are all about jazz. Portuguese jazz musician Zé Eduardo and his band have organized a set of workshops for beginners, along with elementary and advanced courses. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a “Music Sharing Session,” taking place in Casa Garden at 7:00 p.m. Workshop attendees –
from the beginners to advanced musicians – will perform, followed by jazz bands that have been taught by the professors in charge of organizing the workshops. The Cultural Affairs Bureau has also announced in a statement that MIMF’s program this year will also be taking a sample of Cantonese opera to homes for the elderly and to hospitals.
