Urban renewal company expected in three years

The proposed wholly-government-owned urban renewal company is expected to be established within two to three years, according to a member of the city’s Urban Renewal Committee, Wong Seng Fat.  In Wong’s opinion, the sooner the company is established, the better. The committee has already delivered the company regulations to the Chief Executive, with the final approval expected shortly. Wong noted that since the company will be large, involving an extensive number of financial investments, he believes that the government will be cautious.
