DSEDJ to launch AI teaching platform to support educators

The Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) will roll out a localized smart teaching platform in the 2026/2027 school year, including knowledge maps for 11 subjects, an intelligent question bank, and automated grading to reduce teachers’ workloads. AI-based supplemental teaching materials are also planned with mainland universities. Lawmaker Ella Lei asked about support and IT training. The bureau said it provides annual AI and ICT training, offering thousands of slots and hundreds of thousands of teaching hours for teachers.
