Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) recently organized two study tours for about 60 students from the “Youth Science and Technology Village” program, an initiative jointly run with the Education and Youth Development Bureau and the Macao Science Center.
The program, launched in 2023, aims to cultivate local talent in innovation and technology.
As part of the 2025/2026 curriculum, students visited the Lai Chi Vun Shipyards, where they explored exhibits integrating digital technology with Macau’s shipbuilding history.
Highlights included 3D touchscreens, augmented reality experiences, and an artificial intelligence-powered video display.
Multimedia consultant Dirco Fong shared insights on how the project applied technologies such as virtual reality and AI in large semi-outdoor spaces.
According to a GEG statement, students also toured Galaxy Macau, where they observed the Diamond Show’s technical operations and visited the “In the Mind of Bruno Moinard” exhibition at GalaxyArt.
The activities aimed to broaden students’ perspectives on technological applications in tourism and cross-disciplinary creativity.
