Hengqin Border Macau areas transferred

The Macau Area and the Second Phase Vehicle Border-Crossing Area of the Hengqin Border Checkpoint was transferred to the Macau government for administration yesterday, pursuant to approval from the State Council of the Chinese government. After the transferal, the areas will be managed under the law of Macau. The next phase of transferal will concern the Light Rapid Transit station on Hengqin. For the time being, the connection between the University of Macau and the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone is still under construction and administration by Zhuhai.
