IAM, Gongbei Customs join hands to ensure food safety

The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) and Gongbei Customs signed Tuesday an agreement to clarify inspection and quarantine arrangements for chilled seafood exported to Macau. The two groups will strengthen inspections on exporters and conduct risk monitoring and technical exchanges. Gongbei Customs will also push forward supervision and quarantine procedures to improve traceability and ensure the quality and safety of chilled seafood, to achieve rapid inspection and release, create conditions for convenient customs clearance and further promote cross-border trade between Macau and Zhuhai.
