The local tourism bureau has attended the recent 61st Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Tourism Working Group (TWG) Meeting, which was held in a hybrid online-offline format in Iloilo City, Philippines. The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) attended the two-day meeting, which included several activiries such as discussions on plans, exchanges of information and a closing session. The bureau delivered an overview of Macau’s tourism situation, the SAR Government’s development strategy of “1+4” for adequate diversification, as well as major tasks to revive Macau’s tourism industry and economy this year.
