UM to hold int’l conference on legal reforms

The Centre for Law Studies at the University of Macau (UM) will hold the Seventh International Conference on the Legal Reforms of Macau in a Global Context – The Urban Planning Policy and Economic and Social Development of Macau –Legal Perspective, today and tomorrow.
According to a press release issued by UM, scholars from renowned local universities in Macau, mainland China, Taiwan, Portugal, Brazil, and Singapore, as well as local legal experts, will attend the conference and discuss a wide range of topics, including some controversial issues in urban planning. Among the topics are the legal instruments for urban policy development in Macau, and the application and future development of urban planning policies.
The conference will be held in the E4-G062 lecture hall, Anthony Lau Building, UM. The first day of the conference will last from 9:00a.m. to 6:30p.m., and the second day from 9:30a.m. to 6:30p.m. Simultaneous translation between Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) and Portuguese will be available.
