Melina Leong promoted to Cotai Ferry Co. chief operating officer

Sands China Ltd. has appointed Melina Leong as the chief operating officer of Cotai Ferry Co. Ltd., which operates Cotai Water Jet, effective Jan. 1. According to a press release issued by the company, the promotion of Leong, who is a Macau native, is in line with Sands China’s focus on developing local talent.
“It has always been one of the company’s goals to develop our team members and provide them with opportunities to excel further in their careers,” said Sands China Ltd. president and chief executive officer Edward Tracy. “Melina’s performance in public relations and community affairs has been outstanding, and, being one of our long-
serving locals, the company would like her to advance further and take up new challenges. We are confident that she will lead the Cotai Water Jet team in taking this important business unit of the company to the next level.”
Currently serving as Sands China’s senior vice president of Public Relations and Community Affairs, Leong has over 28 years of extensive public relations and community affairs experience. She is approaching her 10th year with the company.
