Yesterday, the Macau Urban Renewal Limited (MUR) signed letters of intents (LOIs) with the building contractors for the construction of Home Swap Housing Units (parcel A) and Temporary Housing Units (parcel B) projects, the Company announced in a press statement.
Both projects are part of Lot P at Areia Preta, also known as the former land plot of the Pearl Horizon project.
The construction work for parcel A was awarded to China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Limited for 4.068 billion patacas, while the parcel B construction works have been awarded to the joint venture between Coneer Engineering Limited-China Road and Bridge Corporation-Top Design Consultants Company Limited for 878.6 million patacas.
In the statement, the MUR also noted that the tender submission process for the construction of temporary housing units on parcel C of Lot P is still ongoing, and is expected to conclude later this month.
The whole Lot P project is expected to be completed by the end of 2024 and will create over 3,000 jobs.
MUR said that it would coordinate the utility companies to undertake the excavation works at the same phase of construction to avoid repeated road digging works in the future. RM
