Parliamentary election first-timer “Macau Victory” has recently submitted a list of five candidates to the Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Commission (CAEAL), in the hopes of “awaking Macau people’s consciousness.”
The five candidates include Lo Chun Seng, Ng Sio Hong, Ng Chong, Lam Cheng Weng and Lao Tak Wai.
Lo, the first candidate on the list, stressed that the list has no background or connections with any association. As such, he admitted that they will enjoy fewer resources. They aim at “bringing clean air to the society.”
Having succeeded in gathering 500 nominations, Lo believed that the team would be able to obtain sufficient votes to have the deposits refunded.
Lo was previously a journalist before becoming a volunteer at the office of incumbent lawmaker Au Kam San. He said he is concerned with press freedom and the benefits of journalists.
Meanwhile, three lists of candidates have also been submitted for three sectors in the Indirect Election constituency. The three sectors are the Trade and Finance, the Professional and the Social Service and Education sectors.
For the time being, incumbent lawmaker Ho Ion Sang is the only new face in the constituency. He will be running in the Social Service and Education sector. AL
