Individuals with a Family Visit Permit who enter Macau three times or more on the same day will be required to undergo a nucleic acid test (NAT) and wait for the result on-site.
The health authority said the new requirement is “in order to reduce the potential epidemiological risks caused by the frequent movement of people through the Border Gate or the Qingmao Border Gate.”
Holders of a Family Visit Permit who enter Macau three or more times through the Border Gate or Qingmao Border Post on the same day will be subject to this requirement, regardless of the date of sampling indicated on their certificate of negative NAT result.
“Such individuals shall be subjected to a nucleic acid test at their own expense upon entry into Macau and shall be allowed entry only after obtaining the test result,” the health authorities indicated.
The test result will not be displayed as part of these individuals’ health code.
