Oxfam TowerRun to raise funds for East Africa

Oxfam will hold a fundraising event at the Macau Tower in late October to raise funds for the victims of the drought in East Africa, who are facing a food crisis. Oxfam expects to raise some MOP600,000 to MOP700,000. In a press conference, it was announced that the participants for the Oxfam TowerRun, which will be held on Oct. 22, will take on the challenge of running up 1,298 steps from the ground floor of the tower to the adventure deck on the 61st floor. There will be participants from Hong Kong and also international runners. In previous years more than 600 people participated, and organizers are expecting a record breaking number of applicants this year.
