Century-old Singapore-incepted luxury hotel brand Raffles yesterday saw its first hotel in Macau soft opening at the Galaxy resort, with an all-suite lineup.
The new hotel pushes the resort’s count of hotel brands to seven. It is located on the resort’s east promenade, with access secretly nestled on both ends of the Crystal Lobby. In terms of design, the hotel, located on the peripheral of the resort, can be seen from afar, especially at night with an arch-shaped LED screen covering the entire height of the building.
According to a statement issued by the resort, the new property reflects Macau’s rich East-Meets-West heritage and modern-day vibrancy. The property features subtle peacock motifs throughout in the form of a geometric pattern.
Raised some floors above, the hotel lobby is home to Raffles Lounge & Terrace, which is a western tea house in the day and an energetic sip-house at night. To come later is a Japanese restaurant by celebrated Chef Masaaki Miyakawa. Meanwhile, as a treat for the eyes, there are wondrous art pieces well curated and subtly arranged around the hotel.
Since 1887, Raffles has been among the top tier of luxurious accommodation around the world. Its supporters have found its personalized service, time-honored traditions, and exceptional attention to detail appealing and the reason for return patronage. AL
