Hengqin tourism revenues surge to RMB1.9b in 1H

According to statistics, in the first half of 2023, the tourism revenue in major scenic areas of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin amounted to RMB1.186 billion, up 642.69% year-on-year. The number of visitors to the Cooperation Zone also surged, with a 432.32% increase to RMB5.16 million. During the first half of the year, the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute attracted more than 20,000 exhibition visitors to Macau. It is estimated that Macau will hold about 100 exhibition events this year related to the four major industries of the Cooperation Zone.
