IAS system finds 61 drug users in 1H

The Social Welfare Bureau (IAS) has stated that in the first half of this year, the Central Registration System for Drug Abusers of Macao reported 61 drug users, an increase of more than 10% year-on-year, with one of them is a teenager under the age of 21. The top three categories of drug use were methamphetamine, ketamine and cocaine. According to the bureau, it is expected that the situation of drug abuse will increase. However, the bureau pointed out that the overall numbers of cases of drug abuse and drug use has shown a downward trend in the past five years.
