15 companies certified under new Technology Company Certification Scheme

The Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT) have granted the Technology Company certification to 15 companies under the new Technology Company Certification Scheme. A total of 39 local enterprises applied to the certification program. The certification is valid for three years and is based on several factors such as company size, intellectual property ownership, research and development staff, awards, academic qualifications of staff, and qualification of associate companies. Of the 15 companies now certified, three are considered key technology companies while the other 12 are considered technology companies with potential.
