The Health Bureau has decided to lower the age requirement for the “Dental Prosthesis
Installation Program for the Elderly” to individuals over 65 years starting May. Initiated in 2019 in
collaboration withnon-profit medical organizations, the “Elderly Dental Prosthetics Pilot Program” offers financial assistance to individuals aged 80 and above in need of dental prosthetics. The program was expanded in 2020 to include individuals aged 75 years and above. Subsequently, in the same year, the age requirement for beneficiaries was further reduced to individuals aged 70 years and above.
