The SAR government has launched a new phase of its talent recruitment programs, accepting applications for nine different talent plans from today until Nov. 20.
The Talent Development Committee will evaluate applicants based on their potential to improve Macau’s innovation, competitiveness, international reputation, and economic diversification.
The Chief Executive, Ho Iat Seng, has approved updated standards, scoring tables, and application conditions for these talent plans. The revisions align the plans with Macau’s current industry needs, optimizing the sought after target professions and positions.
The committee reported that the previous phase of the talent program, which ended in Q1 2024, received 1,107 valid applications. As of April 30, 387 individuals have been recommended as talent, including 22 high-end talents, 83 outstanding talents, and 282 senior professionals.
According to a statement issued by the Talent Development Committee, the six programs include the High-end Talents Programme, the Outstanding Talents Programmes and the Advanced Professionals Programmes for the Big Health Industry, the High-Tech Industry, the Modern Finance Industry, as well as the Culture, Sports and Others Industries.
