In response to concerns raised over employee rights and labor law improvements, the Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) has announced that it will collect public opinions through multiple channels to investigate and study the strengthening of workers’ “offline rights.” Lawmaker Lei Chan had previously submitted a written query regarding the issue of “invisible overtime” for employees, urging the authorities to explore ways to better protect workers’ offline rights. “Ensuring the rights and interests of workers is a top priority,” DSAL said. “By gathering public input through various channels, we aim to develop comprehensive solutions that address the practical challenges faced by both employers and employees in Macau.”
