Heavy rains and possible flash flooding are in the forecast for Macau starting today as a developing low-pressure system moves into the region, according to the Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau. The bureau said the system over Guangdong is expected to bring intermittent heavy downpours and possible thunderstorms today into Tuesday, with flooding possible in low-lying areas. Strong, isolated storms also cannot be ruled out. Officials are urging residents to pay attention to weather updates and take precautions when outside. Midweek, the lingering effects of the trough will continue to bring scattered showers to Macau. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Ewinar, located southeast of Manila, is not presently expected to directly impact Macau.
