Colorful summer carnival in Shenzhen

One of China’s original theme parks, Shenzhen Splendid China Folk Village, launched its colorful summer carnival last week. The event, which will run until Sept 1, offers visitors a 66-day summer celebration through five meticulously-crafted carnivals, 12 ethnic music festivals and over 30 daily village singing and dance performances. According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, more than 37,000 cultural and tourism consumption activities will be hosted across the country during July and August. Additionally, on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the ministry will host a red culture storytelling event.
