Photo competition on sustainable development launched

The Macau Institute for Corporate Social Responsibility in Greater China announced the launch of the “All for 17, 17 for All – 2024 Macau SDGs Photography Activity.”

The institute aimed to showcase the city’s journey towards achieving the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through the lens of local students.

The objectives of this activity are clear: to promote the implementation and development of the SDGs in Macau, to encourage greater awareness of sustainability among the public, especially students, and to showcase the current sustainable development and social responsibility achievements of Macau.

By capturing these achievements through the art of photography, the competition hopes to elevate social understanding and mutual support for sustainable development.

To enter the competition, students are required to submit original photographs that visually represent any of the 17 SDGs.

The images must be taken within Macau’s borders and reflect the unique character of the city. Each entry must be accompanied by a short description, explaining how the photograph relates to the chosen SDG and its significance to the photographer.

The competition will run until October.

Outstanding photographic works will be exhibited in the institute’s themed exhibition which is proposed to be launched by the end of 2024 at various public venues in Macau. Staff Reporter
