Gov’t creates Public Archives workgroup

By order of the Chief Executive published yesterday, a new governmental workgroup will be established to handle matters related to Macau’s Public Archives. Published in the government’s official gazette, the order lists nine members, including the president of the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), Deland Leong, as coordinator. Other members include the director of the Archive of Macau, who will serve as the deputy coordinator, along with the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, Justice Affairs Bureau, Financial Services Bureau, Judiciary Police, Public Security Forces Affairs Bureau, Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau, and the University of Macau. This workgroup has the authority to create sub-groups based on specific tasks or topics. All logistics and support for this group will be funded by the IC.
