A total of nine performance teams took to the stage at Melco Resorts & Entertainment’s City of Dreams recently to participate in the “Melco Simple Acts of Kindness 2024 – Elderly Got Talent” event.
The show, co-organized by Melco and the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau, aimed to provide seniors an opportunity to showcase their talents. A crowd of around 500 community members turned out to support the 75 performers.
Melco Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho said it was “a joy to see our [older folk] enjoying themselves.” Chan Ka Leong, director-general of UGAMM, said the event aimed to “strengthen the gathering of [senior]s in Macau, to showcase their talent, vitality, and vibrant style.”
The diverse performances included dramas, cheongsam shows, sign language songs, dances and more. Participants expressed elements of patriotism and love for Macau through their passionate performances.
