Historic Chikan town welcomes new tourism resort to boost cultural heritage

An international tourism resort opened earlier this week in the historic Chikan town of Jiangmen, Guangdong province, aiming to advance cultural preservation and heritage in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The resort’s inauguration marks a strategic step in developing rural cultural spaces and fostering the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism. Chen Xiaojian, deputy publicity chief of Guangdong’s provincial Party committee, highlighted the resort as a meaningful exploration in promoting regional cultural and tourism development.
