During a joint press conference held in Tianjin two days ago, Air Macau’s president, Zheng Yan, announced that the airline is set to launch a direct flight service on the Macau-Tianjin route, starting on September 6. Information about the flight schedule and about Tianjin can already been found on the Air Macau website. There will be two flights between the two cities on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The flight duration is approximately three hours and twenty minutes. Zheng Yan has said that the launch of this direct flight service will hugely reduce travel time between the two cities, as well as creating a bridge for the political, economic and cultural exchange between Macau and Tianjin.
Suspected gas leakage in social housing
The authorities received a report yesterday, which suggested that a gas leakage took place in the Edificio Cheng Choi social housing project at Ilha Verde. After the Fire Service (CB) arrived at the scene, they discovered that gas was leaking from the main LPG supply valve. Firefighters immediately shut off the valve and notified the supplier. Nobody was injured in the incident. The authorities did not, however, evacuate residents. CB has handed the incident over to the gas supplier and the property management company. The Housing Bureau has already asked the gas supply company to launch an overall inspection and repair.
