The Buzz | Four Macau gaming tycoons in Hong Kong Forbes’ list

Lui Che Woo, founder and chairman of Galaxy Entertainment, continues to be the richest gaming tycoon in the list. His net worth jumped nearly 70 percent from an USD11.2 billion in January 2017 to $19 billion in January 2018. Lui climbed three positions to third place overall on Hong Kong Forbes’ list.

The next gaming billionaires on Forbes’ list are two siblings of Stanley Ho, Pansy and Lawrence.

Pansy Ho, co-chairperson of MGM China, saw her personal fortune increase by 27.9 percent, to $5.5 billion, according to Forbes. Ho climbed one position to 15th place in January 2018. Lawrence Ho, chairman and chief executive of Melco Resorts, saw his net worth jump 85 percent year-on-year, to $2.6 billion.

On a fall is Angela Leong’s fortune. The fourth consort of Stanley Ho, and executive director of SJM, saw her net worth slip 7.5 percent to $3.7 billion this year, from $4 billion.
