Close to 200 students graduated from Sands China’s Integrated Resort Internship Program in 2017, with 20 percent of them taking full-time positions with the company upon graduation, according to a statement from the casino operator.
Sands China’s Integrated Resort Internship Program gives local university students opportunities to work full-time at its properties on a short-term basis while fulfilling a portion of their degree requirements. As a result, they are able to gain a diversified mix of valuable work experience.
The Program offers full-time internship opportunities in 15 non-gaming departments including concierge, food and beverage, corporate communications, information technology, and others. The two newest departments to participate in the Program are facilities management and props design, which were added in 2017 in order to offer even more diverse career training options for students.
In 2018, the Program will offer internship opportunities to 200 students.
Cam chairman visits aviation authority for business exchange
Dr. Deng Jun, Chairman of Executive Committee of Macau International Airport Company Limited (CAM), led a delegation to Civil Aviation Authority of Macau (AACM) on Monday to have a business exchange with the director, Simon Chan.
In the meeting, both sides talked about the fact that the peak travel season is expected at Macau International Airport (MIA) during the Chinese New Year.
Assistance and deployment will be conducted between AACM and MIA in aspects of flights approval and reception at airport, enhancing the efficiency of operations, and attaching great attention to service quality at the same time.
In addition, discussions and views exchange were carried out on security management, the collaborative decision-making system, the recent airspace management and other matters, in order to secure the work efficiency of local civil aviation.
