CE to attend cooperation conference in Shenzhen

The Chief Executive will lead an official delegation to Shenzhen from 2 to 3 December, to attend the Shenzhen-Macau Cooperation Conference 2015.
According to a statement issued by the Government Information Bureau, the meeting will review the progress and achievements of cooperation projects initiated this year. Opportunities for further partnership next year will also be analyzed.
Officials from Macau and Shenzhen will also endorse two memoranda during the two-day conference. They are a memorandum of understanding on promoting development of “Dawan area”, a coastal hub for logistics that serves Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macao; and a memorandum on tourism cooperation.
The relationship between Macau and Shenzhen is considered by the local government as an important part of regional integration efforts. During his stay, Chui Sai On will meet with municipal leaders of Shenzhen to exchange views on how to strengthen ties between the two cities.
