In response to an appeal from the Macau SAR government, and to ensure the safety of citizens and employees, between February 5 and February 14, some Companhia de Eletricidade de Macau (CEM) services will be suspended, including its Customer Service Centres in Macau and Taipa, as well as meter reading.
During the period of suspension of meter readings, bills will be calculated by estimation.
The company also noted that due to readjustments of other services, such as the Macau postal services, many customers did not receive their January electricity bill in the mail.
In such cases, customers can access the website of CEM (www.cem-macau.com) and enter their contract number under “Quick Access” to check the bill and pay it through Mpay mobile application or online banking systems.
Nevertheless, if customers fail to make the payment due to an undelivered electricity bill in January, the company assures consumers that power will not be disconnected during the period and customers should expect that the electricity bill from January will be included in February’s bill calculation.
